Il 5 febbraio a Lisbona è morto Karim Aga Khan IV, il 49esimo imam ereditario dei musulmani ismailiti, considerato dai suoi seguaci un discendente diretto del Profeta Maometto, Artemare Club lo ricorda nella propria sede nel Corso di Porto Santo Stefano con filmati foto manifesti e libri come il Principe della Nautica, oltre ad aver trasformato un tratto della Sardegna in una delle mete più esclusive del mondo e costituito lo Yacht Club Costa Smeralda è stato armatore di alcune delle imbarcazioni più iconiche della storia dello yachting. Racconta il comandante Daniele Busetto tra le barche più celebri legate all’Aga Khan nel 1983 c'è Azzurra prima barca a vela italiana partecipante all’ America’s Cup, di Coppa America, ora interrata a monumento nel porto, poi il Destriero nato con uno scafo in alluminio progettato per la velocità con un obiettivo preciso battere il record della traversata atlantica nel 1992,l’elegante super yacht varato nel 1983, lo Sherga con il nome del leggendario cavallo da corsa dell’Aga Khan, rapito e poi tristemente abbattuto negli anni’80 e infine l’Alamshar un super yacht super tecnologico nato per essere veloce e innovativo, con 6 turbine a gas capaci di spingerlo a velocità impressionanti fino a 65 nodi. L’Aga Khan lascia un segno indelebile in tutta la nautica e nel turismo, il comandante Busetto ha visitato di persona in passato lo Yacht Club Costa Smeralda perché particolarmente legato al suo Commodoro Gianfranco Alberini, al nipote il comandante Edoardo Recchi anche lui ai vertici del Circolo e di uno dei soci più attivi il professor Alessandro Maria Rinaldi e ha imparato molto!
